The Innovation Booster Robotics, together with the AI Robotics Research Lab from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), is organizing a workshop to explore the revolutionary impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on robotics across various industries. This workshop will cover cutting-edge technologies and practical applications, with a focus on how AI is reshaping the fields of logistics, healthcare, and Industry 4.0.
Sessions Overview:
- Keynote: “Using robots and AI to investigate animal locomotion and to assist people with limited mobility” – Auke Ijspeert. The ability to efficiently move in complex environments is a fundamental property both for animals and for robots, and the problem of locomotion and movement control is an area in which neuroscience, biomechanics, and robotics can fruitfully interact. In this talk, I will present how robots and deep reinforcement learning can be used to explore how animals learn and control locomotion. I will also present the Roombots project, a project in which we use self-reconfigurable and mobile robots to create an assistive environment for people with limited mobility.
