The workshop Industrial Automation for Manufacturing, held on 28 November 2025 at the USI–SUPSI Campus in Lugano-Viganello, brought together manufacturers, researchers, and technology providers to explore how robotics and automation can support more flexible and efficient manufacturing. Organised by Innovation Booster Robotics in collaboration with SUPSI, the event combined expert talks, interactive discussions, and laboratory visits, covering topics such as collaborative robotics, AI-based inspection, adaptive automation, and human-centred system design, with a strong focus on real industrial use cases and integration challenges.

SRD brings together industry, researchers, startups, investors, engineers, and students to exchange knowledge, showcase technologies, and foster collaborations through exhibitions, talks, and structured networking and matchmaking sessions. The program highlights key trends in robotics, including industrial and service robotics, AI-enabled automation, logistics, healthcare, and mobile and aerial systems.
Since 2021, the event format has evolved to strengthen networking, collaboration, and talent development, with the introduction of matchmaking sessions, job and career opportunities, and pitch formats for startups and emerging companies.
Swiss Robotics Day is a one-day national flagship event initiated within the framework of the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Robotics, led by EPFL with ETH Zurich as co-leading institution. The next edition of Swiss Robotics Day will be organized by the Swiss Robotics Association, in collaboration with academic, industrial, and innovation ecosystem partners.

The Swiss Robotics Day (SRD) is Switzerland’s most comprehensive exhibition on robotics for industry and research.
The SRD brings together industry, researchers, investors, engineers and students to exchange and share experiences, new ideas, and technologies. Matchmaking sessions facilitate collaborations and partnerships. Presentations of distinguished speakers will focus on innovative technologies, new market trends for robots, logistics, the future of aerial robotics and robots in healthcare.
Since 2021 the format of the event evolved to include more networking and matchmaking sessions and help facilitate collaborations and partnerships. New features also included job advertising and a pitch / storytelling session for start-ups and young companies.
The SRD is a one-day event initiated by the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research in (NCCR) Robotics – a flagship project with EPFL as leading house and ETH Zurich as co-leading house. The 2024 edition was organized by Innovation Booster Robotics, the University of Basel (Dept. of Biomedical Engineering) and EPFL.
